We joined a
CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) earlier this year. If you aren't familiar with them you should look for one in your area! I found ours on this web site.
http://www.localharvest.org/ They all are a little different but ours is an all organic farm. We bought a full no work share for 18 weeks that we split with my brother. We can go out to the farm and pick some stuff but with two little ones it is nice to go to the
famr and the produce is all picked and ready for us! We are getting tons of great fresh local produce. Actually more than we need some weeks so we are giving it to our family and friends. Just as an example we pick up on Monday and this week we got a bushel and a half of produce. (bib lettuce, red leaf lettuce, romaine lettuce, onions, green onions, zucchini, broccoli, cucumber,
swiss chard, collard greens, haricot
vert, sugar snap peas, fennel, mustard greens, basil, and cilantro) We are making lots of fresh salads, stir fries, and sauteed vegetable. The boys love the salad and snap peas the best! We will let you know what other fun stuff we get later in the summer!

Perfect Michigan strawberries.

Some of our lettuce!
